I understand the order of operations but with this problem, there are no parenthesis so don't you just move left to right?

If there are no parenthesis explicitly, they are implicitly there, like 

6-(1x0)+ (2/2)
Once you evaluate the parenthesis you work left to right.

You obviously do not understand the order of operations.  Just because there are no parentheses, you don't ignore the resite of the order of operations.  You simply move on to the next step in the order.  The only correct answer to this equation is 7.  Too many people have already explained how this answer is arrived at, so I won't waste everyone's time repeating it.

Order of operations is parenthesis, exponents, multiplication and division, then addition and subtraction. Since there are no parenthesis or exponents you go to the multiplication and division, then the addition and subtraction. It's 7.

Enter into several calculators...my tablet calculator says 7...my windows 7 calculator says 1...go figure.
