Read as (x/6)-(4/6)-(3x/2)-(1/2)=-1,

(x-4)/6-(3x+1)/2=-1, multiply through by -6:

-x+4+3(3x+1)=6,

-x+4+9x+3=6,

8x+7=6,

8x=-1, x=-⅛ is the solution.
