a=Pi r^2
a is area
Pi is 3.14
r is radius

so in your case, since the radius is 8
a=Pi*8^2
a=Pi*64
a=200.96

pi is 3.141592..... pi is an irrational number. haha
The area of a circle is given by the formula:

A = πr^2, so in this case we have;

A = π 8^2 = 64π

If you're supposed to use a particular approximation for pi, then just substitute that and multiply.

For example, if the instructions say to use 3.14 for pi, then

A = 64(3.14) = 200.96 approximately.

Hope that helps!

How do I find the area of a circle?

If I have a circle with a radius of 8 how would I calculate the area. Please explain this so that I can understand. Thanks.

The Area  of the Circle has its Formula → Area = π x (radius)² .  You have to memorize this & π(pi) = 3.1416
now you can substitute radius to the Formula

Area = π x 8
Area = 3.1416 x 8

Are a = 25.13  ◄ Ans

we know that area of a circle is pie*radius*radius hence area =22/7 *8*8 which is 201.142 square cm .... :) !
