3 friends traveling in a bus fair is $70 for three of them, each of them pays $25 the bus man returns $1 each, and the remaining $2 keeps himself , now each one has contributed $24. now if we add 24+24+24=72 and the 2 which bus man kept 72+2=74 where did the remaining $1 go?

It is split among the three of them.

Note that they DID NOT get back $24 each.
This is because the $2 which the bus man took belong to them, so there is already a loss by them in the first place.
