I guess Im wondering what to do with 10st^2 divided by -2st^4.... can you have a exponent greater in the denominator  then the numerator. if so, what do you do?

First divide by -2: -3s3t5+4s2t4-5st2. Divide this by s:

-3s2t5+4st4-5t2. Divide this by t4:

-3s2t+4s-5/t2.
