rectangle area=480cm2, length=4cm more than 3 times its width, what are the dimensions

please help me answer this question, i have tried but i ditn't derive at the right answer.

area=480=length*wide

leng=3*wide+4

area=(3*wide+4)*wide

3*wide^2 +4*wide -480=0

thank av wide as x...3x^2 +4x-480=0

x=12 or -13.33333

wide=12, so

leng=36+4=40
