1) J + S + E = 47

2) S = 2J + 6

3) E = J - 7

Substitute eqs(2) and (3) into eq(1):

J + (3J + 6) + (J - 7) = 47

4J - 1 = 47

4J = 48

J = 48/4 = 13

using eq(2):

S = 2(12) + 6 = 30

using eq(3):

E = 12 - 7 = 5

check using eq(1):

12 + 30 + 5 = 47

J collected 12

S collected 30

E collected 5
