what is the answer to 2x squared minus 5 plus 3 equals 0?

I need the sum of the roots of the equation. I need this answer asap, I don't really get it.

2x^2-5=0, so 2x^2=5

x^2=2.5

x=+-sq root(2.5)

=1.58113883
