how do you set up this problem x+2=14+2x

Group the terms then solve

x - 2x = 14 - 2

x = 12 ◄ Ans

 

by
x+2 = 14+2x

x+2-2x = 14

-x+2 = 14

-x = 14-2

-x = 12

(-x = 12)-1

x = -12
