strate line thru 2 points...(k-3, 3k+4) & (k, k+1)

want slope=2

deltax=k-(k-3)=3

deltay=(k+1) -(3k+4)=-2k-3

slope=delty/deltax=3/[-(2k+3))]

slope=-3/(2k+3)=2

2*(2k+3)=-3

4k+6=-3

4k=-9

k=-9/4
