if she makes 3L of soup and needs to fill 6 bowls that hold 400mL will she have enough soup

1L = 1,000mL

3L = 3,000mL

1 bowl = 400mL

6 bowls = 400mL x 6 = 2,400mL = 2.4L

since 6 '400mL' bowls equal 2.4L and 'she' has 3L of soup she will have more than enough soup.

OR

3L = 3,000mL

1 bowl = 400mL

x bowls = 3,000mL / 400mL = 7.5

if she needs to fill 6 '400mL' bowls, she will have more than enough soup. she has enough soup to fill 7 '400mL' bowls and an additional '200mL' bowl.
