Two questions here. Someone drank a quarter of the milk, leaving three-quarters of a gallon.

Sheila's ice cream and cake took up 1/4+1/6=(3+2)/12 of a gallon=5/12 leaving 7/12 gallon. There are 8 pints in a gallon so 7/12 is 4 2/3 pints.
