solve each system of equations y=2x-3 y=x-2
solve the system of equations

1) y = 2x - 3
2) y = x - 2

Substitute the value of y from equation one
for the y in equation two.

y = x - 2
2x - 3 = x - 2
2x - 3 - x = x - 2 - x
x - 3 = - 2
x - 3 + 3 = - 2 + 3
x = 1

Substitute the value of x into equation one.

y = 2x - 3
y = 2(1) - 3
y = 2 - 3
y = -1

Substitute both values into equation two.

y = x - 2
-1 = 1 - 2
-1 = -1
