Problem: equation by plotting points
graph the equation by plotting points with the slope of 6y+3x=-9

Re-write the equation in slope/intercept form.

6y + 3x = -9
6y + 3x - 3x = -3x - 9
6y = -3x - 9
6y/6 = (-3x - 9)/6
y = -3/6 x - 9/6
y = -1/2 x - 1.5

The first point to plot is the y-intercept: (0, -1.5)
For convenience, we will find and plot the points with
an x value of -10 and an x value of 10.

y = -1/2 x - 1.5
y = -1/2 (-10) - 1.5
y = 5 - 1.5
y = 3.5
This is (-10, 3.5)

y = -1/2 x - 1.5
y = -1/2 (10) - 1.5
y = -5 - 1.5
y = -6.5
This is (10, -6.5)
