An equation in point-slope form looks like this:

y-y sub1 = m(x - x sub1)  Sorry but I don't know how to find the icon that will change this to sub notation.

Anyway, sub in what you have been given:  point j(4,2) with slope of 3

y - 2 = 3 (x - 4)

That's it.  You have an equation in point slope form.
