The bracketed numbers are (x,y) pairs or points connected by the equation. When x=-2, -2+4y=10, so 4y=12 and y=3;  when y=2, x+8=10, so x=2; when x=6, 4y=4, so y=1. Therefore the three pairs are (-2,3), (2,2), (6,1).
