Let y=x2-4xand draw the graph. Where the graph intersects the x-axis you have the values of x that are the roots of the expression.

Note the scale of the graph shown below. The graph is almost flat near the origin, so the scale has to be such that you can see the slight rise as the curve touches the x-axis at x=0 then intersects it at x=0.25. So these are the zeroes (roots) of the given equation.

x2-4x3=0=x2(1-4x), so x=0 or 4x=1, x=¼=0.25. To the nearest tenth this is 0 and 0.3.
