i'm looking for the formula that i can use when i have a number and i want to find out what percent of another number that is, as in my example of "1700 is 3% of what number?"

what is the formula to use to find this out,1700 is 3 percent of what number

.03x = 1700

x = 1700/.03

x = 56667
