Let all these be equal to variable u, then x=u^p, y=u^q, z=u^r, and xyz=u^(p+q+r)=1.

Taking logs: (p+q+r)ln(u)=0. Since in general u≠1, p+q+r=0. Any base for the logs will give the same answer.
