log(8x+5) =1 +log(x+8)

assume log tu base=10, yu hav

log(8x+5)=log[10*(x+8)]

thus, 8x+5=10*(x+8)

8x+5=10x+80

2x=5-80=-75

x=-75/2=-37.5
