This statement cannot be true. 46/35 represents a number larger than 1 (1.314) where as 3/9 can be reduced to 1/3 which is much smaller than 1 (0.3333). They are clearly not equal.

46/35 = 3/9 becuase 3/9 equals 1/3 and 46/35 simplifies to 1 and 11/35.

Also you need to cross multiply.

46 times 9 equals 414 and 35 times 3 equals 105.

414 does not equal 105.
