1. xy=-2, or y=-2/x

2. 5x -7y=17

5x -7(-2/x)=17

5x^2+14-17x=0, or 5x^2 -17x+14=0

x=2 or 1.4

y=-2/x....-2/2 or -1, so y^2=+1 & 49y^2=49

x^2=4, so 25x^2=100
