1/y = (2/x) – ( 3/5) + ( 3/5) + ( 3/5) 1/y+ ( 3/5) = (2/x) *y *y ( 3/5) = (2/x)*y *x *x ( 3/5)x=2y /2 /2 ( 3/5)x/2=y y=3x/10

well, the answer did not display as intended.
first step, add (3/5) to each side, that cancels the (3/5) on the "x" side of the equation. second, multiply each side by y.  This cancels the y on the left side and adds a *y on the other side. Third multiply each side by x.  This moves the "x" to the other side and cancels it on the "y" side.  Finally, divide each side by 2 so that "y" stands alone.  that give you the final equation of: y=3x/10.
Always remember the rule: What you do to one side of the equation, you do to the other side of the equation.    Hope this helps!
Thanks dixiegurl827..
