peenuts=1.41 $/pound, walnuts=2.61$/pound... mix=100 pounds at 2.13 $/pound... x+y=100 or y=100-x... 1.41*x +2.61*y=213... 1.41x +2.61*(100-x)=213... 1.41x -2.61x +261=213... -1.2x =213-261=-48... x=48/1.2=40 so y=60
