x + y + z = 180

x + 43 + 67 = 180

x + 110 = 180

x = 180 - 110

x = 70 degree

A. Write the algebraic equation using the information above.

Angle x = x
Angle y = 43 degrees
Angle z = 67 degrees
In total they equal 180 degrees, so we will set up the equation
x + 43 + 67 = 180

B. Solve the equation. Show all work.

x + 43 + 67 = 180 -- combine like terms
x + 110 = 180 -- subtract 110 from both sides
x = 180 - 110 -- combine like terms
x = 70

Now we can check our answer...
angle x + angle y + angle z = 180
70 + 43 + 67 = 180
180 = 180 (correct)

C. What is the measure of the angle x? Make sure to label your answer.

Angle x = 70 degrees

The angle x is equal to seventy degrees.

Hope this helps!
