1.... spot tween -2 & 7

twies as far from 7 as from -2 implie (2/3) av dist from 7

7-(-2)=9, so (2/3)*9=6=distans from 7

spot 1...x=1

2.... other side av -2: (negativ number > 2)

distans from 7=x+7

distans from -2=x-2

x+7=2*(x-2)=2x-4

2x-x=7+4=x=11

spot 2=-11...distans from -2=9, distans from +7 =18
