x = -10 + y

-16x - 2y = -2  sibstitute the first equation into the second

-16(-10 + y) -2y = -2

160 -16y -2y = -2

-18y = -2 -160

-18y = -162

y = 162/18 = 81/9 = 9

x = -10 + 9 = -1
