If you remember that 6 x 4  (say) is 6 lots of 4 or  to write out a long way 4+4+4+4+4+4 when you've 6 lots of anything you just write it down 6 times.

so you've got

a3-b3

a3-b3

a3-b3

a3-b3
a3-b3
a3-b3

Which is 6a3-6b3
