x^2 = 6x + 5
x^2 - 6x - 5 = 0
(x^2 - 6x) - 5 = 0
(x - 3)^2 - 9 - 5 = 0
(x - 3)^2 - 14 = 0
(x - 3)^2 = 14
x - 3 = sqrt(14) or = -sqrt(14)
x = 3 + sqrt(14) or x = 3 - sqrt(14)
