The only known number of goals was scored in overtime, i.e., 72 goals. In the third period 1/8 of this number of goals was scored, so 9 goals were scored on the third period. But this is 5 fewer than was scored in the second period, so 14 goals must have been scored in the second period. Twice as many were scored in the first period, i.e., 28. So in all we have 72+9+14+28=123 goals.
