You can find the height which is 184sin40=118.273mm approx. And you can find how far along the base the perpendicular height meets the base: 184cos40=140.952mm. The remaining length of base is 634.048mm. If, and only if, the right side of the trapezium is at a right angle to the base can you determine the length of the top, which would also be 634.048mm; but if the right side doesn't make a right angle with the base, you have insufficient information to find the length of the top side.

???????????? "trapezium" ???????????

maebee that be TRAPAZOID???...thang with 4 sides & 2 sides parallel

other 2 sides mite be parallel, but normally not

In that kase, DONT hav nuf info tu define it

It sound tu me yu sae yu hav base leng+angel from base tu 1 side +leng av side

on other side av that angel

No wae tu ges how long the top side be, or the angel at the other end av the base

the question needs more clarification[which one of the two bases is longer],

so let ..in this trapezium [ call it ABCDE].....................

The given base[call BE] be the longer base and let the given side be AB (such that AB = CD)

therefore <BED = <CED and the required side is AD

Taking triangle CED {CE = (BE -AD)}

tan(<CED) = DC/CE

tan40 = 184/[775 - AD]

AD = 775 - 184/tan40......... = 555.72

Therefore the other side is 555.72mm
