Multiply throughout by uvf (common denominator): vf=uf-uv. Add uv to both sides: uv+vf=uf, then subtract vf from both sides: uv=uf-vf=f(u-v) (factoring). Divide both sides by (u-v): uv/(u-v)=f, so f=uv/(u-v).
