A rectangular garden with an area of 48 ft squared has a width equal to 1/3 its length. What is the measure of the diagonal of the garden? Express your answer as a decimal to the nearest hundredth.

Length * width = 48

L * 1/3L =48

L=12 and W=4

diagonal squared = L squared * W squared = 144*16= square root of 2304 = 48ft
