The first thing to do is to work out the contents of the round brackets: (14-3)=(11); (27-3)=(24); (7-5)=(2). Keep a note of these results for later. You don't need to put brackets round the result because there's nothing more to calculate within the brackets. I've done it to clarify the fact that it's the result of doing a calculation within the brackets. Next the contents of the square brackets: we can use the answer we remembered by substituting it when we get to it: [18-2+11+3]=[30] (add all the positives together and subtract the negative 32-2=30). Now we have a result for the square brackets of 30. Remember this. Next the curly brackets: substitute for the square brackets and the round brackets when we get to them: {30+24+2}={56}. Remember this result. Now we're out in the open and we can substitute for the curly and round brackets: 56+2=58, the answer.
