x^2+32x=-220    

  x^2+32x + 220    = 0                    220 = 10*22 and  10+22 = 32 ⇒

(x + 10)(x + 22 ) = 0

x + 10 = 0 ⇒ x = - 10

or

x + 22 = 0 ⇒ x = - 22
