To find these numbers by completing the square: Divide your middle term (-14) by 2 (now -7) and square that number (-7 ^2 is +49). Add +49 to both sides of the equation (x^2-14x+49=+49). Then simplify the left side by factoring ((x-7)(x-7) or (x-7) ^2). Now we have (x-7)^2 = +49. Take the sqaure root of both sides to get (x-7) = +-7. Add 7 to +7 and to -7 to get your roots. +14 and 0 is your answer.
