A music store bought a guitar for $300 and used a markup of 50% to set the selling price. A customer bought the guitar on sale for 50% off. How much did, the customer pay?

The store's sale price was $300 + (50% * $300) = $300 + $150 = $450.

The customer paid $450 - (50% * $450) = $450 - $225 = $225
