write all coefficient term of divident as

)5  0  6  8 (

note:0 is to be written as coefficient of missing term

in divisor we take -2

note:we put constant term of divisor with opposite sign

-2 )5  0  6  8 (

bring down first coefficient and multiply & keep it down to next place like

-2 )5    0    6    8 (

       -10    20   -52

   5    -10   26    -43

then we keep the constants skipping the 1st variable given in question

i.e. 5x^2-10x+26

and remainder is -43
