The problem states "I am a two-digit number...."

Is 4 a two-digit number?

I am a two digit number. My digit add up to 6.One of my factor is 3.One of my other factor is less than 5 but greater than 3.What number am I?
A 42 B 24 C 15 D 33

You are given four choices.

The problem says one factor is 3, and very cleverly tells you that
another factor is 4. Multiply those and you get 12. Now, a third
factor multiplied by 12 has to give one of the four choices.

42/12 = 3.5       3.5 cannot be a factor
24/12 = 2          This is a possibility
15/12 = 1.25     1.25 cannot be a factor
33/12 = 2.75      2.75 cannot be a factor

You are left with only one choice, B  24

Your two-digit number is 24
