Problem: What is the slope of the line whose equation is - 48 = 2X -8y
In a fraction form

-48 = 2X - 8y
-48 + 48 = 2x - 8y + 48
0 = 2x - 8y + 48
0 + 8y = 2x - 8y + 48 + 8y
8y = 2x + 48
8y/8 = (2x + 48)/8
y = 2/8 x + 48/8
y = 1/4 x + 6

The slope is 1/4
