PRQ is a triangle, PQ is 12.5cm, QR is 5cm, calculate the value of x

This is a right angled triangle, with base QR = 5 and height QP = 12.5

The hypotenuse PR is given by Pythagoras' theorem as

PR^2 = QP^2 + QR^2

PR^2 = 12.5^2 + 5^2

PR^2 = 156.25 + 25

PR^2 = 181.25

PR = 13.463
