If Ef= 2x-10, FG = 4x-18 and EG = 20. Find the value if x, EF, FG. The drawing is not to scale

​On the drawing, the sum of the two lengths EF and FG is equal to the length EG

i.e. EF + FG = EG

or, (2x - 10) + (4x - 18) = 20

2x + 4x - 10 - 18 = 20

6x - 28 = 20

6x = 48

x = 8
