1/3 of a number is 6 more than 1/5 the same number. What is the number?

I don't understand how to figure it out.

let x is the number we are looking for.

it will be x/3 - x/5 = 6  --->>>>  (5x-3x)/15 = 6  --->>>  2x/15 = 6  --->>>  2x=90 -->>> x=45

check  45/3 - 45/5 = 15 - 9 = 6
