(a) (?,-⅜): we need x when y=-⅜. -3x=8(-⅜)+3=0 so x=0: (0,-⅜)

(b) (-2,?): we need y when x=-2. -3(-2)=8y+3, 6=8y+3, 3=8y, y=⅜: (-2,⅜)
