All we need is the base area of the sandbox, which is made up of two rectangles: 8×8.5=68 and 4×2.5=10.

So the areas in total are 68+10=78 sq ft. The amount of sound is base area times depth of sand=78×1=78 cubic feet. 3rd answer.
