E is the intersecting point of AC and BD.

Since the given polygon is a parallelogram, so AC = 2(EC)

ie,  8x - 14 = 2( 2x + 11 )

=> 8x - 14 = 4x + 22

=> 8x - 4x = 22 +14

=> 4x = 36

or x = 9

The question doesn’t say where point E is, so I guess it’s the point of intersection of the two diagonals  AC and BD. The diagonals bisect one another so EC=(8x-14)/2=4x-7. But EC=2x+11, therefore 4x-7=2x+11, 2x=18, x=9.
