If I work 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off, how much will I make? My brother will be earning 1400 every business day, So would my brother earn ($1,400 per shift x 5 days per week) x 26 weeks per year = $182,000?

Yes, your brother would earn 1400×5=$7000 per week and 26×7000=$182,000 in a year. There are 52 weeks in a year so 26 weeks is only about 6 months. So he is working 6 months on and 6 months off.

If you work the same rates and times as your brother, in 4 weeks you would earn 4×7000=$28,000.

If you are not paid for the weeks off, then you would work 13 weeks a year and earn 13×7000=$91,000 in a year. But if you work 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off for the whole year (26 working weeks) then you will earn the same as your brother ($182,000) who only works for half a year.
