Slope of y =-4x +10 is -4

And we know, the slope of line perpendicular to a given line is negative reciprocal of the given line

ie m2 = -1/m1

So the slope of perpendicular line is 1/4

Now using point-slope form we get

y-y1 = m2 (x-x1)

or y -2 = 1/4 (x-7)

or 4y -8 =x-7

or 4y = x+1

or y = 1/4*x + 1/4
