Let L=number of large shrimps and M=number of medium shrimps=100-L.

Sales=4L+3M=340. Substitute for M:

4L+3(100-L)=340,

4L+300-3L=340,

L=340-300=40 (40 large shrimps); 100-40=60 medium shrimps.

Expressed as a system of equations:

L+M=100,

4L+3M=340.
