An acute angle is between 0 and 90 degrees in measure, so 2x+14<90°, 2x<90-14, 2x<76°, x<76/2, x<38°.

Also, 2x+14>0, 2x>-14°, x>-7°. Therefore the restrictions are that x is between -7° and 38° degrees, which can be written: -7°<x<38°.
